Join the Idiots as they discuss the plight of Origin Story movies, a potential factor in Marvel Fatigue.
You go in to the latest superhero blockbuster, and either it's an ensemble film with 20 characters you need to watch two dozen other films to know the full story, or it's the origin story of a new (to this particular cinematic universe) hero! When it's a new hero, you find yourself thinking "hey, I've seen this movie before." because it feels like every hero origin story follows the exact same beats, the only thing that changes is the set pieces.
That's not always a bad thing, but maybe... we could do with something new every now and then?
