Join the Idiots as they return to the Matrix for what is arguably the best of the sequels. (The only good sequel! ~Z) It's a bit of a long episode, because the Idiots had a lot to say on this film. Also, spoiler warning. If you have not yet seen The Matrix Resurrections and are concerned about major plot and story spoilers, you'll want to skip this episode. Released in 2021, and starring Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, along with Jessica Henwick, Jonathan Groff, and Neil Patrick Harris, plus a great supporting cast. Gone are the early 2000s edgelord black trench coats and sunglasses, replaced with a much more modern and diverse attire for the cast. The Matrix Resurrections returns the Matrix franchise to being a more cerebral action movie with strong tones of social commentary, plus a healthy dose of meta commentary and some much needed levity.
